LIDC webinar – why one health?
Tuesday 13th October 10:00 – 11:30
Free to attend but registration is essential
Covid-19 has shown what can happen when insufficient attention is paid to the relationship between health and disease at the human, animal and environment interfaces. In response to the need to develop a holistic treatment of health hazards and a systemic change of perspective in risk hazard, two LIDC member colleges – the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the Royal Veterinary College – both paragons of excellence in their respective fields, run a ‘One Health’ post-graduate course that equips students with a comprehensive foundation on the principles of diseases in the context of socio-ecological systems, global health and food safety, as well as knowledge and skills in relation to One Health methodologies.
On 13 October, leaders of this course join guest speakers in a conversation on issues around public health, veterinary sciences, social and environmental sciences, ecology and wildlife health.
