Call for papers: migration in the global South.

The DSA Scotland Study Group, the UWS Protracted Crisis Research Centre (PCRC) and the UWS Centre for African Research on Enterprise and Economic Development (CAREED) are organising a conference on the theme of Migration in the Global South to be held at UWS on 6th September, 2024. Expressions of interest are invited relating to:

1. A wide range of topics relevant to migration in the Global South, including, but not limited to, conflict, climate, developmental impact, entrepreneurship, foreign aid, gender, social networks, public and social policies, and remittances.

2. Any other work currently being undertaken in Development Studies or related fields in Scotland.

How to submit

Please submit expressions of interest with a brief description of proposed presentations (about 50 words) by 14th May, 2024.

NB: There will be no charge for participating participating in this conference. Modest funding is anticipated for reimbursement of travel costs beyond the the Glasgow/Paisley area for full-time doctoral students and others on the basis of need.
