Publications

Tom Lavers published a new open access book, Dams, Power, and the Politics of Ethiopia’s Renaissance, a detailed examination of the domestic and international political dynamics that shaped Ethiopia’s dam building. Access a PDF copy here. Tom will be presenting the book for the first time at the Geneva Water Hub on Monday, 11th November. He’ll also deliver a lecture about the book on Wednesday, 4th December as part of the GDI Lecture Series. 

PGR Louis Cyuzuzo published ‘Gatekeeping beyond the state: The Mombasa port development program and the emergence of the gatekeeper city’ (open access) in Political Geography.

Maria Rusca, Alice Sverdlik, Marcellus Mbah, Diana Mitlin, Arianna Tozzi and colleagues published ‘Plural climate storylines to foster just urban futures’ in Natures Cities. The group will also host a webinar about the article next month (details TBC).
