IKEA Foundation renews support for the Refugee-Led Research Hub

ODID are pleased to announce that after providing crucial early funding for the Refugee-Led Research Hub (based at the Refugee Studies Centre), the IKEA Foundation has given an additional grant of £2 million to support the project as it expands its work with displaced scholars. Full details

ID Model: A digital business model that leaves no one behind

How can research into new forms of inclusive digital business models directly benefit those who need them most? Professor Xiaolan Fu’s IDModel project is paving the way with an app-based solution that empowers users in developing countries to generate income. Watch the video here

Short Courses

OPHI Advanced Course: The OPHI Advanced Course on Multidimensional Poverty Measurement and Analysis is a new course taking place on 4-8 August 2025 at the University of Oxford. It is aimed at those who are interested in deepening their knowledge and skills in the use of multidimensional poverty measurement and analysis, from academic institutions to governments and international organisations.

International Online School in Forced Migration: Applications are open for the International Online School in Forced Migration run by the Refugee Studies Centre. This academic year, the five-day course will take place on 17-21 March and 23-27 June via Zoom and the virtual learning platform Canvas.

Palestine Refugees and International Law:This two-day short course from the Refugee Studies Centre will be held in-person on Friday 14 March and Saturday 15 March 2025 at the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul, Turkey.
